Mosque
Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque
This golden-domed is Named after the 28th sultan of Brunei, in 1958 and stands next to the Sungai Kedayan in its own artificial lagoon. It is one of the tallest buildings in the city and one of the most impressive structures in South-East Asia.
The interior is simple but tasteful,. The floor and walls are made from the finest Italian marble; the stained-glass windows were crafted in England; and the luxurious carpets were flown in from Saudi Arabia and Belgium. A Venetian mosaic of 3.5 million pieces decorates the inside of the main dome, and pools and quadrants surrounding the building with elegant reflections. The ceremonial stone boat sitting in the lagoon is a replica of a 16th-century mahligai barge.

 

 
Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
This is the largest mosque in Brunei, Built as the symbol of Moeslem' firm hold in the country. This mosque has been an attraction not only to foreign but also local tourist. Situated in Kampong Kiarong, a few kilometres from the city centre, it is known locally as the Kiarong Mosque.

 
Palace
The Istana Nurul Iman
The Istana Nurul Iman, the sultan's palace, is Bandar Seri Begawan's most popular tourist attraction. It contains a tropical garden and is surrounded by dense tropical forest and waterways. The sultan's palace, Istana Nurul Iman, is an impressive sight, especially when lit up at night. It is larger than the Vatican Palace and no expense was spared: It cost US$350 million and, among other features, has 1788 rooms, 200 toilets and a banquet hall with seating for 4000. Unfortunately, the istana is only open to the public during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, when the sultan often deigns to meet his people.

 

 
 
Temples
Pulau Ranggu
In the middle of the river near the Istana Nurul Iman, Pulau Ranggu is home to a large colony of proboscis monkeys, with their hugely distended noses. Macaques are also easily to spot here.

 

 
Borneo
The third-largest island in the world. Located in the western Pacific Ocean southwest of the Philippines, which once had authority over all of Borneo. About the size of Delaware, Brunei is on the northwest coast of Borneo; the rest of the island is divided between Indonesia and Malaysia. The sultan is head of state and prime minister.

 

 
Pantai Seri Kenangan
Known as Pantai Tuton, this is a popular beach especially at the end of the road is quiet and ideal for camping. It's on a spit of land with the ocean on one side and the Tutong River on the other, and the white-sand, casuarina-lined beach is probably the best in Brunei. Tutong, the nearby town has a morning daily market. The area of beach. Tutong is on the main highway on the beach area, halfway between Bandar Seri Begawan and Seria, and can be accessed by bus.
